Azienda Agricola Molino is a young company built by people with long experience in the wine world. In 1991, Virgino Molino from San Damiano d'Asti, together with his sons Tommaso, Franco, and Dario, bought a small plot of land in Treiso, and the rest is history. Dario soon acquired a solid education in oenology while his brothers took on the management of the vineyard. In 2013, the youngest, Marco, joined the rest of the family. Marco had studied political science, so it was perhaps only logical that he was given the responsibility of marketing the family's wines abroad. Today, Azienda Agricola Molino consists of 16 hectares of vineyard. The work in the vineyards is led by Franco, who is a passionate advocate of low impact farming. The vineyards, well embedded within surrounding forests and nature to optimise biodiversity, are found in the areas of Treiso, Guarene, and Costigliole d'Asti. Just a few years ago, few had heard of this young and extremely determined producer. Today, positive reviews and top ratings are showered upon Agricola Molino's barbaresco and barbera wines. We are, to say the least, pleased to have them aboard the Terrific Wines train.
