Domaine Les Grandes Costes

Domaine Les Grandes Costes
It all began back in 1868 when the land in Pic Saint Loup in northern Languedoc came into the family's possession. But it wasn't until the turn of the last century that Jean-Christophe Granier, the fifth generation on the estate, decided to stop selling the grapes and start making all the wine on site. He launched an extensive quality programme that included, among other things, replanting and renaming the estate Domaine Les Grandes Costes. And success was not long in coming. Here we find carignan, cinsault, grenache, and syrah, which the producer handles carefully with the goal of reflecting the local area's stony soils and many mountain peaks. Fresh and fruity, we say, and take particular note of cinsault of the highest calibre.
