Character
Silky and deep juice where the Niellucciu grape, grown on hard limestone, expresses a concentrated and pure profile, and Sciaccarellu provides a vibrant aromatic. Red-fruited, stringent, and filled with great finesse.
Vinification
Harvest is entirely manual; grapes are hand-picked and sorted in the field. The grapes are destemmed but not crushed. The grape juice macerates for 15 days, and malolactic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then undergoes 10 months of aging in both steel and oak barrels, followed by at least 6 months in the bottle. Only very light filtration is performed before bottling, along with a small dose of sulfites.
