Character
Dark ruby-purple colour. The nose offers ripe dark berries, plum, cassis, pepper and sweet spices. The palate has good concentration with refreshing tannins that balance the sweetness, elegant and nuanced flavours, juicy dark fruit, cassis, spices and a long lingering finish. This is an elegant wine that is still very young.
Food pairing
As an aperitif or with blue cheeses, blueberry tarts, fig desserts and chocolate cakes.
Vinification
Alcohol is added to halt fermentation. The wine is then aged for 12 months in oak barrels.
