Champagne Goutorbe-Bouillot

Champagne Goutorbe-Bouillot
Like many smaller Champagne houses, Champagne Goutorbe-Bouillot is the result of several families joining forces through marriage and cooperation. The story begins in Damery in the mid-18th century with the Goutorbe, Bouillot and Papleux families. Today's house covers eight hectares and is run by Bastien Papleux and his parents, Dominique and Dominique. The vineyards are managed according to sustainable farming principles and certified HVE 3 and Viticulture Durable. Bastien Papleux is not only an exceptionally pleasant person, with a certain fondness for Swedish pickled herring, but also an extraordinarily skilled winemaker. He and Champagne Goutorbe-Bouillot are particularly strong on wines made through réserve perpétuelle, where several vintages are blended to achieve a consistent result year after year.
