Cuvée Constance
Cuvée Constance
Seduced by the quality of the terroirs in Roussillon, the legendary Bordeaux producer Jean-Luc Thunevin teamed up with local winemaker Jean-Roger Calvet in 2000 to purchase a few hectares of vines located on Maury's fine vineyards, distinguished by black slate. This collaboration has, among other things, given us this flavorful wine with notes of plum, bay leaf, pepper, dark cherries, black olives, and licorice.

Character
Rich and full-bodied with notes of dark berries, bay leaf, black olives, licorice, minerality, white pepper, and chocolate. Firm tannins balanced by juicy and succulent fruit. A truly robust wine.
Food pairing
Perfect with a classic steak with fries and béarnaise sauce. Also excellent with classic rustic French cuisine, such as green lentils with duck breast or ratatouille.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-picked from vines up to 45 years old, and vineyard work is carried out according to biodynamic principles. After harvest, the grapes are fully destemmed and the wine is aged in cement vats for 14 months.
