Les Lauzeraies Tavel
Les Lauzeraies Tavel
A classic Tavel rosé with a distinct terroir imprint, consistently ranked at the top when Sweden's wine journalists vote for Rosé of the Year. A bit more colour and much more flavour than the paler cousins from the more southern parts of Provence (Tavel is located in the heart of the Provence landscape, which is not the same as the "Provence wine region" — Tavel's nearest wine neighbour is Châteauneuf-du-Pape). Les Lauzeraies Tavel is at its best with food, from a hearty salad to grilled fish and white meat to bouillabaisse.

Character
Crisp acidity and fresh fruitiness combined with power and structure, with notes of raspberry, cherry, redcurrant and herbs.
Food pairing
Grilled fish dishes, hearty and flavourful salads, or dishes with white meat.
Vinification
The skins macerate with the must for up to 48 hours before pressing. The wine then ferments at low temperatures (13–14°C) for 10 to 15 days. The final wine is blended and rests briefly in stainless steel tanks before bottling. Lauzes famously means limestone, so one can easily deduce that the wine is shaped by its origin.
